Chipmunks Playland & Cafe Caroline Springs

The place is thought and designed for kids, and it does the job. The parents have enough tables and chairs to rest a bit while their kids are having fun. There are two private rooms to celebrate birthdays. I found them quite small, parents were observing from outside and was not comfortable. I did not like the food, it was a plate of deep fried nibbles. They sell coffee for parents. Good parking. Friendly and attentive staff.

I just had my daughters birthday here on the 14th Saturday. Overall the food and the venue was okay except from party host . Party host was hardly in the room for the 1 hour in which we paid for it. Party host was hardly helpful, I kept going out to look for her, a party host is supposed to stay with the party for the hour and only do service for the room. The host was everywhere, serving other people and doing other tasks that was not related to our 1 hour booking. This is very wrong. I have never experienced this with any other past party hosts!!! She did not even bring the ice cream cake, I had to ask for it at the end and guess what she told me, to go and get the plates and the knife at the front myself, mind you she was hardly ever in the room. When it came to singing happy birthday’s, she just stood there, did not initiate anything, we had to keep Saying Can we start the song and still she kept quiet. It’s supposed to be a fun and easy going for us parents but I felt like I was hosting a party at home and doing things myself. A lighter was a problem and she told me we don’t have any working lighters and expected us to sing a song without lighting the candle and I said no and the chipmunk told her to go and check somewhere in the kitchen but still she could not light the cake !!! Kept handing things to me and telling me I don’t know when I ask questions!!! Even for the gift bags, I had to look everywhere for her and even asked around for her only to find her cleaning tables outside during our booked time 😡. She dropped the gifts on the floor and left , I had to give the kids myself. Surely, why pay so much money for a host, I should have gone for the basic package then !!!!!
